Drum Instructor-Gordon Bell 

 

Gordon began pipe band drumming at the age of eight under the tutelage of Norman Macleod and the Kenmure Pipe Band.

He received further tuition from Dave Armit, Bob Turner, and Alec Duthart. He has had, and continues to have a very successful competitive record in both solo’s and bands. His band experience includes the Kenmure Pipe Band, Worcester Kiltie, Muirhead and Sons, 78th Fraser Highlanders, and City of Washington Pipe Bands.

He is currently a member of the City of Washington Pipe Band. Gordon is a senior drum instructor at the Balmoral School of Piping and Drumming.

His students are among the best in the country in their respective grades. Gordon has also recorded with many groups including the 78th Fraser Highlanders, Empire Brass, and his own Celtic Rock band 51 Ash.
